The Rickey, Made with Bourbon… as it should be

Now this is one of my favorite cocktails and I'm really happy to see it make a comeback. It is so simple and it reminds me of one of the first cocktails my mom told me I should order when I go to a bar: the Collins. This is basically a more refined version. The original rather than a poster of. And, I love the fact that he uses Grade B maple syrup. Spot-on in his assessment that it makes for an earthier flavor which I really, really enjoy.

I am, being from New Orleans, of course, VERY partial to my brown liquor so this drink especially hits home on those hot summer days.
